9/11 @ 9:11

September 11th, 2001: the day that will “live in infamy” for my generation. Matt and I were sitting in a Calculus class together the day America was attacked, yet again, from the sky. I was tardy (or right on time if you ask me in those days) for class and it only took a moment to understand that something, so incredibly devastating, took place; everyone’s eyes were glued to the small TV in the upper-corner of the classroom. It turns out, it was bigger and more far-reaching than I could have fathomed at that moment in time. The number of lives it effected was astounding.

I thank God for all the service men and women and all of the civilians who put their lives and even their time at risk for a fellow brother; there is nothing more patriotic or more selfless than that.

Oddly enough, I just happened upon my monitor at precisely 9/11 @ 9:11 and took a quick snapshot.
